The AJA OG-HA5-12G-T is a versatile converter designed to transform HDMI 2.0 input into 12G-SDI output, catering to 4K/UltraHD single-link requirements. This compact device offers exceptional functionality, including two 12G-SDI distribution amplifier outputs, capable of carrying 8 or 2 channels of embedded audio from an HDMI source.

One notable feature of the OG-HA5-12G is its support for Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) emulation. This ensures a continuous supply of custom preferred video formats from the connected source on the output.

OG-HA5-12G-T and OG-HA5-12G-T-ST Models:

The OG-HA5-12G-T and OG-HA5-12G-T-ST models are equipped with Fiber SFP technology, making them ideal for extending HDMI 4K/UltraHD signals over long distances. The OG-HA5-12G-T model extends signals up to 10km over a single LC Fiber link, while the OG-HA5-12G-T-ST model achieves the same over an ST Fiber link. Both models come with SFPs pre-installed and offer all the functionality of the OG-HA5-12G, including the extension of audio and video signals over extended distances.

4K and UltraHD:

4K signals feature a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels, while UltraHD signals measure 3840 x 2160 pixels. These differences can challenge some monitors, limiting their use in full 4K or UltraHD workflows. However, the OG-HA5-12G effectively compensates for these resolution differences, allowing the use of UltraHD monitors in 4K production and vice versa. Moreover, it supports High Frame Rate (HFR) inputs, enabling the conversion and output of 4K/UltraHD signals at 50 or 60 fps for display on HDMI 2.0 compatible screens.

Full HDMI Support:

The equalized input on OG-HA5-12G is engineered to accommodate HDMI runs up to 30 meters in length using 24-gauge cable. Embedded HDMI audio support simplifies installations, offering a single-cable solution and reducing clutter.

12G-SDI Support:
